Let's look at how your workflow can trigger automation.
If you are following a long I am taking the example I used the previous workflows article of our repair centre. When a customer drops off an item for a repair, I want to message the customer, thank them for visiting the centre, provide a booking form and a tracking link. Then, when the repair is ready for pick-up, I want to send a second message to notify the customer that the item is ready for collection.

Automation can help you solve these problems and help you stay on top of each process. Building on our example of when the repair is ready for collection, sometimes customers need reminding if a repair is awaiting pick-up for too long. Our automation can include multiple messages spread out over some time, say 21 days, to act as a reminder service. At the end of the 21 days, the automation can create a task for a team member to follow up with the customer to resolve the issue.
Automating your workflow in this way can better organize your workload, save your team time chasing customers, and provide a more fluid service for your customers.
