Set-up

  • Tudodesk back-office

  • Zapier - You can create an account here

What's this for?

  • You can trigger ZAPS in Zapier from a webhook in Tudodesk.

  • You will need to set-up a ZAP and use the catch hook action in Zapier (Webhooks by Zapier).

  • Make sure you copy the webhook URL (see below).

What you need to know

  • You can trigger a webhook in Tudodesk on any board. For example when a JOB is marked as completed.

  • Tudodesk will send a JSON response containing the document data.

  • You can use Zapier to integrate Tudodesk into thousands on services.

Steps

Before you start make sure to set-up a new ZAP in Zapier and use a catch hook trigger (webhooks by Zapier).

This will provide a URL that you will need to copy and paste into Tudodesk so that Tudodesk can send information Zapier. See this article below for help on setting up a catch hook ZAP.

Next we will need to set-up an automated event in TD to send data to Zapier.

  1. Locate the board in Tudodesk back-office where you want to trigger an automated webhook event.

  2. Click Show menu on the right side of the board menu bar.

  3. Select Board automations.

  4. Select an existing event, or add a new event. If you add a new event select the trigger that will fire this event. For example when a JOB is moved to completed.

  5. From the automation editor click the + action button in your automation workflow and select the Trigger webhook action.

  6. Paste your Zapier URL into URL entry field. Make sure you copy and paste the full URL.

  7. Click Save

  8. Click the green save button in the automation editor.

  9. Click Turn on in the bottom of the editor window.

  10. Confirm the automation is turned on.

  11. Close the editor.

  12. Congratulations you have set-up an Zapier trigger webhook

Testing: trigger your new Zapier webhook

  1. Create or locate an existing document on the board where your event was created.

  2. Make sure the document has ample information in it to test. For example money lines (for example make sure your document has all the information you will need to send to your ZAP so you can test in fully).

  3. Move the document to the status that triggers the automated event you created above.

  4. In Zapier use the test trigger option to catch the data just sent from Tudodesk.

  5. You can now use that test data to set-up your ZAP and integrate with thousands of APPS.

What if I did not receive any data in Zapier:

  1. Make sure in Tudodesk your automated event is turned ON.

  2. Make sure you moved the document to the right status to trigger the event.

  3. Make sure your automated event in Tudodesk is triggering on the desired event

  4. Make sure in Tudodesk you have no delay, or previous actions that are causing the webhook to be delayed.

  5. Confirm the Zapier URL in the Tudodesk webhook action is correct.
