Sending text messages
What you need to know
SMS text messaging must be enabled to send and receive messages.
If SMS is enabled in your account, you will see an international mobile number in the top left of the menu bar next to your company name.
To enable SMS, follow the guide here.
Steps
Locate a document assigned to a customer you would like to message.
The customer will require a valid mobile phone number to enter their account profile.
Scroll down to the message centre at the bottom of the document.
Type a message in the message box.
Click the drop-down arrow on the Send button
Select Send SMS.
Tracking
After the message is sent, it will appear immediately in the message thread. Arrow indicators in the bottom right indicate sent, received and read (two green arrows). Read the article for information below:
Replies
Replies are routed back to the document and the embedded message thread. You will also receive a notification in the message centre located in the top-right menu bar.
Automated messages
SMS messages can be included in your automated events. And chained together with email sends and other automated actions.
Use cases:
Automated form submit responders by SMS
SMS invoice reminders
SMS Job updates
Notifications that an Estimate needs approval.
