Hot on the trail of our TD20 update earlier this year, our teams have been busy building and shipping more updates for you. From Text Messaging (SMS) that unifies your business communications to our new mobile, tablet ready interface, and more - September's already shaping up to be a jam-packed month.


Unified SMS messaging directly from tickets

We've just rolled out SMS messaging for all business-level accounts. Send and receive SMS & MMS text messages directly from your jobs to your customers. Improve your open rate and notify customers with automated updates directly on phones.


New document templates for TD-20

We recently launched new document templates for invoices, estimates, worksheets, and packing sheets. These new templates are fully customizable and will provide full control over what you see, print, and show on the screen. If you have not already upgraded, contact [email protected].

Improved support for mobiles and tablets

If you missed the recent news TD-20 is now compatible with small devices and tablets. This much-needed update means you can access Tudodesk, reply to messages, view, log, and track jobs while away from your desk.


Picture support is back in the list view.

If you were with us way back when we launched our first version of Tudodesk, you might remember the old-style cards, photos, and boards.

Over the last few years, we slowly moved away from this, causing a bit of an uproar. We discovered many of our customers like having photos side by side with search results to identify jobs by picture. So we turned it back on.


The Quick Launch Menu

We added a Quick Launch shortcut menu in the sidebar so you can quickly create new jobs, estimates, and invoices from any view in the back-office.

Sign your emails in style with our new signature generator

Generate a professional email signature for your organization and each team member with the new built-in signature generator.

Customize the information you collect on job and repair tickets

You can now customize your Job forms, Invoices, and Estimates. For example, you can hide and show different blocks such as terms, pricing, or inventory. And you can edit the labels for the information you need to enter and what boxes you fill in.

What's new for 2020

I'm also excited to give a sneak peek into our future releases. As Tudodesk helps you organize, manage, and grow your workshop, we know getting insight into what's coming up in our product can be helpful. As always, your feedback is essential. Please share your comments and questions with us!

  1. Create job tickets from pre-saved templates – If you run repetitive jobs, life is about to get much easier. Save your most popular worksheets, specs, and drawings and re-use at a click to schedule new orders.

  2. Automated SMS Updates – Deliver automated customer updates when Jobs are checked in and complete.

  3. Editable print templates – More freedom to create printable templates, such as worksheets, and packing sheets your way. Customize what you see and how it looks.

  4. Multiple print templates – Create different templates and specify when and where they are used. Assign templates on print macros, automated emails, and the Job Display System. Create packing sheets, Customer drop off forms, warranty forms and more.

  7. Improved task and commenting management: We are planning a complete overhaul of our task and comment system to make team communication easier and slicker from the back-office to JDS.
