Tudodesk Data Importing Explained

In previous versions of Tudodesk, data was typically uploaded directly from specific views such as Contacts (CRM) or Products and Inventory. While these options remain available for user convenience, the 2024 update introduces an enhanced method for managing data imports, particularly for CSV files. The new data view in the settings area is designed to help you monitor data uploaded to your account. This includes details about when data was imported, who imported it, and the nature of the data.
Accessing the data view
To access the data view, simply click on the settings icon located in the side application menu bar.
What Data Can You Import?
You have the capability to import various types of data:
Contacts, such as customer data.
Products, services, and stock levels.
Serialized items.
Importing Process
When you import a file, such as a CSV, it is immediately listed in the data view.
You can track the file's live status and observe the progress of the import.
Status Indicator Updates
Processing: The data is being prepared for import.
In-Progress: Displays the number of rows successfully imported so far.
Completed: The import is finished and all data is now in your account.
Reviewing Imported Data
After the import is complete, you can click on the line entry to review all the data imported in that batch.
This feature enhances your ability to efficiently manage data imports, ensuring you have up-to-date and comprehensive information at your fingertips.
