Accessing Serialized Item Reports with Ease

Purpose:

Unlock the power of streamlined repair processes with our Serialized Item Module. This essential tool empowers you to effortlessly monitor repair history, warranty status, and servicing details. By linking serialized items to your work orders, you ensure precision, efficient communication, and ultimately, enhanced customer satisfaction.

In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into the key features of our Serialized Item Module, allowing you to:

  • Log and meticulously track serialized parts and items.

  • Maintain a comprehensive historical record of repairs, warranties, and item statuses.

  • Expedite item check-ins through serial number lookup, all while maintaining data consistency.

  • Enjoy centralized storage for photos, files, and essential documents such as warranty cards and service certificates.

How to Access Serialized Items:

  1. Click the inventory icon in the side menu bar.

  2. Select "Serial Numbers" from the side navigation list. This opens the report view.

  3. Add filters and save your search results as a live list.

  4. Alternatively, select one of the pre-made reports from the side navigation panel.

  5. Scan or enter a serial number or product name in the search box to look up individual items.

Understanding the Serialized Item View:

  • You can open the item view for any item in the list (report). This will display the information for that item along with the following details below:

    • Make, model, style, and code of the item.

    • Item photo.

    • Status.

    • Last repair date.

    • Additional details.

    • Warranty status.

    • Warranty start and end dates.

    • Notes.

    • You can edit any of the information. Click "Save" to apply your updates.

  • In addition, from the top tab bar, you can view:

    • Notes (Chat-style notes with date and the person who left the note).

    • Files (You can upload files, copies of certificates, photos, or service records).

    • History (A historical list of all work orders the item is linked to).

  • Additionally, you can:

    • Print a copy of the item record.

    • Upload a cover photo of the item.
