Time tracking

Overview

Better understand staff productivity by seeing who has been working on each job, how long it has taken, and how that compares to estimates and budgets—track time on jobs and time spent by your staff.

Your workshop team can log time against jobs or unrelated activities in their timesheet. Additionally, they have the option to use a stop-start timer to track their work accurately. Alternatively, if you prefer, your administrative team can enter time on behalf of the workshop team members or use the timer functionality.

Timers

Timers are a powerful tool for accurate and convenient time tracking. By utilizing timers, you can easily monitor and record the duration spent on tasks or jobs. This feature simplifies the process, eliminates manual entry errors, and provides precise insights into the time spent on specific activities. This guide will demonstrate how to effectively use timers for seamless time tracking.

Log time when the job status is updated

Logging time when a job status is updated allows for easy tracking of the duration spent on each stage of the job. When a job transitions to a new status, you can conveniently add time to the job's timesheet. To streamline the process, you can utilize the 'Log time options' which offer pre-set time increments such as 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes. This enables quick and efficient time entry, ensuring accurate recording of the duration in the job's timesheet.
