The new project view

We have redesigned the project view to make it crisp and clean on large and small screens. In addition, it makes way for more features.

  • Designed to work great on tablets

  • See everything at first glance

  • Easy access to document functions using CMD+K

  • Visualize longer workflows in the side menu.

What's changed?

  1. When you open a document in the project view, it is no longer editable.

  2. To edit the document click the RED Edit button in the top menu bar.

  3. If you open an Invoice or Estimate in Draft, we immediately open it in edit mode so you can finish editing.

  4. The side panel is now open as default. You can close it on tablets by hitting the right > arrow button in the top menu bar.

  5. The document workflow (status tabs) has been moved into the side panel. This makes it much easier to view larger workflows on tablets. This window will auto-scroll the current status into view.

  6. We have made it easier to see Comments, Files and documents in the side panel.

  7. The main document (content) area has been redesigned to bring important information to the top of the screen on tablets. Messages, Sub documents and Attachments have all been moved into tabs below the document's header.

  8. The document actions menu is accessible from the Actions button in the top menu. In addition, we have added CMD K (Alternate K on windows and CMD K on Mac). This opens a fast keyboard-accessible, searchable menu for rapid access to all project functions.

  9. Message and comment composing is accessible from a pop up windows that can be maximised for easier composition of longer emails and comments on smaller screens.
