Many users have requested that we make documents non-editable to some user roles such as tech-users. As part of this shift we have created a new edit mode for documents.

Document edit mode
When you open a document it is opened in preview mode unless:
It's a new document (we automatically open it in edit mode)
It's a draft Estimate or Invoice
To enter edit mode
Open any document.
Click the Red Edit button in the top menu bar.
When you finish editing click Save as draft (leaves the document in draft mode) or click Done editing.
If the document is a draft invoice or estimate we display an option to Send it.
Preview mode
Use preview mode to view the PDF version of your document when you have finished editing. Preview mode also provides printing and PDF download options.
From the document edit mode
Click the Switch to preview mode
Close preview by clicking the close button in the bottom right.
Faster Estimate and Invoice sending
When you open a draft estimate or invoice in edit mode we automatically provide the option to send the document right away from the bottom menu bar.
