What's this for?

This tutorial will help you enter your existing historical jobs, and orders to get started. This is useful when you get set up and want to get your current paper orders into the system.

What you should know

  1. You can import your existing customer list.

  2. You can enter your existing orders and backlog.

  3. You can edit the issue (created date)

  4. You can switch off automation so these past customers do not get incorrectly timed emails that may confuse them.

  5. We suggest you only enter the current OPEN jobs you have. Not jobs your have completed.

How to turn off automation's

If you do not want to trigger automated messages and events when entering your initial backlog of work, you can temporarily switch off the automation.

  1. Goto, the job board

  2. Click Show menu.

  3. Select Automations from the list.

  4. This will show a list of all automation for the board.

  5. Turn off the automation by using the toggle switch (shown in the right column for each automation)

How to turn ON automation's

  1. Follow the steps above, but this time toggle the relevant automation back on.

How to import customers

  1. You can import an existing customer list from a spreadsheet or from another application. You should do this before you start entering the jobs. This way, each job will reference the correct customer information.

How to add jobs, orders

  1. Goto, the job board

  2. Click the Create button in the top menu bar.

  3. Select/add the customer (use search)

  4. Enter the job title

  5. Click Create and start editing.

  6. Complete the job entry when the new job is opened, here you can add description, prices, parts, and photos.

How to edit the issue date

  1. From the job/document edit screen

  2. Click Show menu.

  3. Select document settings.

  4. Edit the issue date.

  5. Click Save.
