How to paste links in work orders, estimates or invoices.

Set-up

  • Tudodesk Back-office

  • Mac or PC

What's this for?

Sometimes you may want to store links to online content, applications or files in your work orders so members or your team can access them.

What you need to know

  1. Links stored in work orders may be accessible by customers if you share the work order and the specific content where the link is shown. You can change what information you share on your work orders using a custom template.

  2. You can privately store links shared only with your team by writing a note or comment on your work order.

  3. You can create a task for you or your teammate and share a link.

Where can you place links?

Directly on documents (in edit mode)

When you place a link in any of the locations below, we transform the link into a clickable link, shared on your work order (this may depend on the set-up options you have chosen in your template).

  • In the summary box

  • In the info box

  • In the notes box

  • In the terms box

Using a comment, note or task

Another helpful place you can store links accessible by your teammates is by writing a link in a comment or task against a work order. When you write a link, we convert that link into a clickable link directly in the comment history or task feed. When viewing specific work orders, your team can then access this link from JDS or Backoffice.

Valid links
