Tudodesk Work Order App Tutorial: Creating and Printing Weekly Open Jobs Report

Prerequisites

For this tutorial, you'll need:

  • A computer (Mac or PC)

  • Access to Tudodesk's Back-office

Purpose

In this guide, we'll show you how to create a dynamic list of all active jobs due this week using a feature called "smart view". Additionally, we'll guide you on how to print this report for offline use.

What you should know

Tudodesk's live boards categorize your jobs by their status. Sometimes, you might need a more generalized report, like all open jobs due this week (or any specific timeframe). This tutorial will guide you on how to accomplish that.

Creating a Smart View of Open Jobs

Follow these steps to create a smart view:

  1. Login: Sign in to your Tudodesk Back-office.

  2. Access Document List: Click the document list icon located in the left-side menu.

  3. Remove Filters: Clear any existing filters in the top filter bar.

  4. Add Filters: Click 'Add filters' then select 'Due by' from the options.

  5. Select Timeframe: Choose your desired timeframe: Today, Tomorrow, This week, etc.

  6. Archive Filter: Click 'Archive' then select 'Open' from the modal. This filters all 'open' jobs.

  7. Save Segment: Click 'Save segment'. Enter 'Jobs due this week' in the name box and then hit 'Save segment' again. Your list will now be saved, and you can revisit it anytime in the side navigation list under 'Smart views'.

Printing a Report

Follow these steps to print your report:

  1. Open Smart View: Access the newly created smart view from the smart view list in the side navigation.

  2. Select Jobs: To print all jobs, check the first item only. If you only want to print specific jobs, check the respective rows.

  3. Access Batch Menu: Click the Batch menu located in the sub-navigation bar.

  4. Select All: If you want to print all rows, click 'Select All'.

  5. Print Report: Finally, click 'Print Report' to get a physical copy of your report.
