It's been a big year. I hope you are ready to take some much deserved time off to enjoy the festive spirit of Christmas with friends and family.

We have a ton of exciting stuff planned for the new year; what better way is there to kick off the spirit of giving than with some fantastic new features we have lined up.

Product updates

Support for custom fields on Work Orders, Invoices and Estimates.

Track additional information on your documents, such as work orders. Custom fields help you collect more information on your jobs specific to your business. Easily set up custom fields, specify a name for the field, type of field (text, number, date, select, or yes/no), the default value and if you want that field kept private or shared with customers. Examples are:

  • Estimated value

  • Size M2

  • Warranty end date

  • Date landed

  • Estimated cost

  • CAD time

In 2022 we will add support for calculated fields and set these fields from automated events. For example, setting the landed date of a work order when marked as 'Landed'.

Saved document templates

We are excited to announce that using Tudodesk to create Work Orders, Estimates, and Invoices will soon be easier than ever, with the introduction of Saved templates.

Saved templates save time by:

  • Quickly create re-occurring work-orders time and time again with no typing.

  • Save repetitive invoices and estimates for re-use to any customer.

Save any document as a template, load any template into any document (of the same type). For example, I might have a job with many specifications, prices, tasks and files. I can save that information and re-use it with just a click or two in any future job.

The new customer profile view

We are updating some of our in-app screens to make them easier to navigate and cleaner on the eye. The new customer profile screen is the first of these updates. We hope you like it. We are adding support for Billing Email, CC Email and custom fields.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

We are looking at new ways to help you track costs, usage of consumables, parts plus time. We want to help you estimate expected usage and then collect actual real time usage values as you run your jobs.

Track what you use from work orders. Keep track of usages, min-stock levels, Track stock changes and usage down to job and technician level.

With inventory management, you can

  • Track the usage of parts.

  • Track the usage of consumables.

  • Track the usage of paint and finishing materials.

  • Track time and labour.

  • Log received from supplier, usages, wastage, physical counts.
