The Tudodesk application has a built-in QR code scanner. You do not need to purchase any hardware.

Steps from back-office
Goto either the board view or search view.
Click the QR icon button in the top menu bar (next to search).
Authorize any alert during the process to allow the application to access your camera(s)
Select the desired camera from the list shown (you can use front and back cameras if available) on tablets.
Click the Scan button.
Steps from JDS
Open JDS
From the Top menu click on the QR button
Follow the steps 3-5 above.
When the W/O or Traveller opens you can bump status or punch in time spent.
How to scan a QR code:
Focus the live camera view on a compatible QR code (see below).
Make sure the QR code is within the scan guides.
Wait for the camera to focus.
When reading successful, a green flash will show for a second.
If the scan fails, a warning is shown.
Confirm to scan another or open the document to preview or update.

Any ticket related QR code from Tudodesk (Jobs, Invoices, Estimates etc.)
File upload QR codes
Customer-facing tracking QR codes
What devices can use the QR code scanner
Laptops or desktops with a webcam.
Tablets (with front or rear camera).
IOS iPad.
Android tablets.
Printing QR code label travellers (200x100mm 6x4in)
