Tudodesk lets you create as many boards as you need to map out your unique business, workshop process. A board for leads, one for estimates, another for invoices and one or even two for your job or repairs process. That's all great, but it can be overwhelming when you're trying to explain to a new team member where to log new jobs as they arrive, or record leads when a customer calls.

The Quick launch menu

Today we launched a new feature called the "Quick launch menu" to help make that easier. You can now add personalized short-cut buttons to the menu bar to make it faster for you and your team to create new documents without having to navigate to the correct board. Hover over the 'amber' + button in the side navigation bar to access the menu.

Ticket timing analysis

Time and time again, workshop owners ask us how they can time how long jobs and work-processes take. More often than not, the first solution that springs to mind is task timing. Task timing involves asking your team to time how long a task takes. This turns out to often be an impractical solution.

Today we uncover a new feature that delivers checkpoint timing not just jobs but all your tickets and documents. Checkpoint timing is where we measure how long your tickets, for example, a job ticket sit on a stage of your process. By measuring these key checkpoints we can come up with some impressive stats on how long jobs take and what part of a job is taking the longest.

The best part is your team does not need to do anything to make use of it.

You can launch this new feature from the document menu bar - Just click the amber timing button on the right.

Document signing

Not exactly a new feature, but it's worth a mention. Signature capture is now live in TD20. You can capture signatures for any ticket or document. Just make sure you have the "Terms" module enabled on the document (go-to the customize option), and your good to go!
