If you are just getting started with Tudodesk 20, one of the first things I tend to do when setting up an account is to customize the form data entry.
In the previous version of TD, data entry restricted to a subject, summary, and reference. That's about to change.
In Tudodesk 20, you have a lot more scope not just for customizing what information your agents collect, but what label names we show, delivering a greater sense of a bespoke product.
β
TD-20 now provides the following fields which you can hide or show, or even rename:
Subject (Title)
Summary
Ref
Reason (department)
Notes
X-Info
Typically your board set-up will look something like this;
Leads
Estimates
Invoices
Jobs
Shipping
Surveys
We include default settings for each board - which are pretty decent. But you can tweak the forms for each of the boards, if that's your thing.
The first place I usually go to is the board that needs the most tailoring - The Job board.
Click on your job board and locate any open ticket. Preferably one you have filled out.
Open the job/ticket - Reveals the new layout 20 form. Nice.
Scroll down to the summary section - Click the "Customize" button.
You can now edit the form settings. Note you can hide or un-hide input fields.
Edit the input Titles, turn on, or turn off the options to suit what information you need to collect.
Click save and reload the browser for the changes to take affect.

Changing what modules we include
The other neat feature we have introduced lets you choose what modules we show on the document. For example, on a JOB ticket, you may or may not want to collect pricing or might not need terms or shipping. In TD-20, you can turn these options on or off.
Follow the steps above, on the customize form scroll down and you will see the option to hide or un-hide all of the following modules/blocks
Inventory, parts list
Shipping
Products, services and charges
Terms
So, go to your boards and create a more bespoke product, you and your team can better use and understand.
