How to use the summary builder to insert a pre-defined summary

To open the summary builder click the button at the base of the document summary.

If your document has an existing summary, the builder will first ask you if you want to edit the existing summary or remove it. This can have un-expected results, as if you choose to edit you existing summary, that summary may over-write the pre-defined opening statement of the builder when it opens.  

Creating a summary

  1. Select any required options from the list shown.
  2. You can edit the opening statement, if required.
  3. Click the insert summary button to compile and insert your summary.

If you edit the opening statement or add/edit items, don't click save unless you want to update the default settings.

Note: Only admins can save, edit pre-defined summary's.
